My Beloved Son; Part 6

“My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”

Father and son relationships, we discover are full of disappointments. As a father, you discover how hard it is to be a good father, even when doing your best! And, if feeling like a failure, there are no words or comfort, watching your son walk out the door leaving you numb! This is the story generation after generation…. until Jesus comes with Hope! Jesus shows the way in getting our first relationship, with GOD, right!

What is it to be living in relationship, right with GOD, as our Father? Jesus came to demonstrate what that looks like!

Father-Our Father in Heaven, revealed Himself to Jesus at His baptism, opening up heaven and speaking over His Son-Jesus, the words every Son desire and needs to hear: “You are My Son, I love you, I am well pleased with you!” What an amazing identity GOD speaks over this man! God is not ashamed, shrinks backs, nor is absent from Jesus, who is dedicated fully to this relationship, of doing His Father Will! But the Father glories in His Son, before he even begins working.

There is no fear nor shame, but unabashed affirmation of their relationship!
“That is My Son; I love this guy; I take great pleasure in Him!” Pure Joy!

The Father begins bestowing on His Son Affirmations; ABBA-speaks from Heaven; The Presence of God’s Holy Spirit descends in appearance so beautifully “like a dove!” God’s Spirit begins to lead Jesus on a journey with ABBA. Everything Jesus did was as His Father in heaven revealed to Him! Hence, Jesus could say, “When you see Me, you see the Father!”

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14.

19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.” John 5.

Think of all the works in the Bible; Old Testament. What Jesus begins to do with ABBA, exceeds all the miracles of the Old Testament! Manna in wilderness-Jesus feeds 5000 with 5 small loaves-a child’s lunch, and leaves 12 baskets left over; Jesus heals many leapers, the blind, deaf, mute, cripples, so many; Raising the dead, and not a few. All manifesting ABBA’s love for the souls of men, without condemnation!

This is amazing! Jesus did not just do His own thing! He made manifest the Father! He demonstrated what it was to be in relationship with ABBA, as Sons of God! I use capital “Sons” because I am using it as proper name, as God calls us in ABBA/Son relationship! God calls me by my true Name: “Son!”

What an endearing term and relationship Jesus had with His ABBA! The Holy Spirit revealed ABBA’s desires to walk with Jesus, and Jesus joins ABBA’s heart, will, desires for us. ABBA is still calling us to Himself! Every act Jesus did was an on-going act of love! God is Love! All Jesus did demonstrated Love to those He engaged! No fear, shame, condemnation, even to the worst of sinners!

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3.

Jesus demonstrates the Love of GOD for us, enjoining us to ABBA in forgiving our sins, and reconciling us back to God in the most amazing blaze of Love, on the cross!

Amazing beauty and grace: like a dove, so beautiful, harmless, Jesus through the empowering Holy Spirit, authoritatively defeated the devil in the wilderness of temptation, and on the cross. Jesus was faced with fierce offenses and assaults of temptation, as the devil was trying to tempt Jesus in every way to destroy our hope of redemption! This is crucial to understand. These were no mild temptations we face and yield to every day without so much as a fight!

Jesus makes manifest, demonstrates what the living on-going-flow of relationship with God looks like being lived in living color before heaven and earth! God was on full display before angels, men, and demons in Lord Christ Jesus.

44 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me…

49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

John 12.

We cannot call Jesus a wise philosopher or even greatest man who lived along with other historic figures. That cannot do! He was uniquely GOD is flesh, and man walking in the Spirit of GOD! He was perfect and completely without sin! No man in history, can it be said of them…that they were sinless! Nor can they claim they laid down their life-blood to forgive all sin! Jesus alone came to reconcile us to GOD, in Love; Grace; Mercy! I cannot mention another religious leader in all of human history that can be named in this Realm; Truth!

Men did not demonstrate the same love toward him, as the men of this world, tried to destroy Him and His reputation. Yet Pilot, declared he found no fault in him! And then crucified Christ! Jesus the perfect Lamb of GOD, laid down His life for us, for sinners to be reconciled to GOD His Father, and now, our Father! After His resurrection, Jesus put us in relationship with Himself, and His Father as ours, uniquely. The most Wonderful Word of Hope and Life!

17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” John 20.

We are not orphans to GOD! We are Sons and Heirs of GOD, and Joint-Heirs with Christ!

Read John 14-17 and be amazed for yourself! If this is true…. If this is true… imagine!!!

It requires us to engage what it means to be adopted by GOD, and be our: ABBA-DAD!

There is MORE:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14.

We can encounter Christ, and engage what it means to be sons of God-forgiven of sins, and live with Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, and Elder Brother who came to find us, as lost orphans, and bring us home! 1 John 1:1-10.

We are forgiven and made clean. We are engaged by God in the Light of Life and Truth. We are enabled to encounter touching, seeing, hearing, knowing Jesus in revelation fashion, that supersedes anything we have known in this life. It is Supernatural-Eternal-Glory we engage! John 1:1-18

John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.”

21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said,

You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” Luke 3.

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1.

Prayer

“JESUS-Come! Come in power and clean me out! Forgive and free me from all my sins, anger, hatred, disappointments, fear, shame, addictions, idols, ugh…all my sin, I am so sorry! JESUS-Come-Save me! Make me a Child of GOD! Let me feel and know this ABBA-Love! JESUS-Thank You: Come baptize me in Holy Spirit and fire! LORD, I desire more of You!”

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says,

Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10.
